The Khon mask originate from Southeast Asia, more commonly known for their presence in Thai epic dramas where they represent different characters and creatures in Buddhist and Hindu religions. The stance and movement illustrated represents strength in your own presence. This piece was inspired by the strength and unity of BIPOC during recent events of uprising to create change.
